EXPERIENCE IN EDUCATION

My adventure with intercultural education began in 1997 with enrolling at the Jagiellonian University in Krakow, at the Institute of Oriental Studies, where I completed MA degree in Indian studies. During my first trips to India, I understood the importance of knowledge, not only linguistic, in communicating with people raised in different cultural circles. Of course, knowing foreign languages is helpful in this contact, because learning the language of a specific culture allows us to perceive it deeper. However, there are many other elements that play an important role. That is why I decided to expand my interests to intercultural communication and psychology and learn about methods of developing competences that make it easier for us to understand representatives of other cultures. Obviously, our attitude is crucial here. The following are conducive to this: openness, respect, acceptance of otherness, tolerance of uncertainty and sensitivity to intercultural differences. Working with people in the area of education, I try to share my knowledge and experience as best I can.

Thanks to my interests and professional activity, I joined the group of intercultural trainers. I started to improve my skills in intercultural education. In 2016, I had the great pleasure of participating in the Training of Intercultural Trainers workshops organized by YOUNG SIETAR. These meetings prompted me to begin a Train the Trainer programme at Wszechnica UJ which I completed in June 2016. Moreover, from 2015 to 2018, I was a member of SIETAR Polska and co-organized meetings of the Trainers’ Group.

Since 2015, I have been conducting training in intercultural communication and consultations for companies cooperating with India. In this area, in cooperation with the company KREATOR, we have prepared training for companies such as the British Council, Carlsberg Polska, OLX, PEPCO, among others. Since 2017, I have been conducting Intercultural Competence Training for students of the Jagiellonian University.

The next step on my professional path, from 2018, was to complete my education at the SWPS University, where I obtained MA degree in psychology. This allowed me to expand my training offer to include the area of psychoeducation. I have prepared training on digital balance and social isolation in a hybrid work environment, among others.

MENTAL HEALTH AND COUNSELLING SERVICES

Based on many years of experience in adult education and communication support I am currently developing in psychoeducation and mental health promotion. My activities in this area focus on support of people struggling with crises, stress, or professional burnout. The key issue for me is building mental resilience.

During my studies, I completed the program of the Clinical Psychology of adults. I also completed training in Rational Behavior Therapy, Introducion to the ACT, Trauma Treatment in CBT and Schema Therapy at the Center for Integral Psychotherapy, Solution Focused Brief Therapy (1st and 2nd degree) at CTSR, and the Buteyko Clinic International Instructor’s course, and Schultz Autogenic Training trainer course at the Institute of Biofeedback and Noo-psychosomatic. I offer individual sessions tailored to the Client’s needs.

INDIVIDUAL THERAPY

The expansion of my activity in the mental health support is related to the commencement of a 4-year comprehensive training at the Cognitive Institute – School of Cognitive-Behavioral Psychotherapy in Warsaw. I am currently in my third year of studies, so I have the status of a psychotherapist in training. I am a member of the Polish Society of Cognitive and Behavioral Therapy of Prof. Zdzisław Bizoń.

I conduct individual therapy sessions with adults. In addition, in 2024 I completed the Basic EMDR_Part 1 training organized by E-psyche and joined the Polish Society of EMDR Therapy. I am also developing my therapeutic skills taking part in additional courses, conferences and lectures. I regularly supervise my work.
